Shipping to the United States

For original paintings, drawings and pastels, the relevant classification is 9701.91.00, and the current 2026 HTS lists the General duty rate as “Free” (0%):  Harmonized Tariff Schedule

However, international shipping rules have recently changed, and depending on the shipment, there may be customs processing or other fees.

The buyer is responsible for any duties, taxes, or import/processing fees required by U.S. customs or the shipping carrier.

 Shipping to the European Union

If you are purchasing a painting that will be shipped to an EU country, please be aware that the EU has introduced new packaging and packaging-waste regulations in 2026.

These rules are separate from customs duties and taxes. Requirements can vary depending on the shipment and how it is handled.

As with any international purchase, the buyer is responsible for any VAT, customs charges, or other fees that may be required in their country.
