I love experiencing paiting with acrylics, oils and watercolour. I like to paint portraits (still learning in all mediums) nature and abstract works with mixed media. Thanks for this chance to win a spot. It is going to be an amazing year.

  2. Samantha Roberts says:

Hi Olga, My favourite medium seems to alternate between acrylic & encaustic. I am aiming to create semi-abstract landscapes with a botanical vibe.

  3. janine j says:

I love painting in watercolours but would like more information on mixed media and acrylics. I love the subjects of flora and fauna but would be very interested in painting the beautiful portraits that you do so well.

  4. Kathy Sheffield says:

My favorite medium is encaustic but I also love oils. I paint abstract, also animals and landscapes. I’m early in my artistic journey and enjoy trying new techniques and subjects.

  5. Sally Day says:

My fit love is watercolor then acrylics.
I’ve enjoyed all the artists on PYHS for quite a few years.
I like to paint landscapes, people and some abstract.
Thank you for all you do!

  6. Shantal Groer says:

I love mixed media and I’m experimenting with charcoal with the moment which has been fun.
I enjoy portraits and animals and would love to combine the two 💜

  7. Debra says:

I love mixed media, acrylics, ink, charcoal and trying anything new! Portraits are my favorite but I find botanicals, landscapes and animals interesting. I never stop learning, art is world of exploration.

I feel like winning a spot for PYHAS could be life changing. Good luck to us all! I love watercolor, oil, and oil pastels. Enjoying playing with gouache as well. I’ve been focused on watercolor for a while starting when my children were small (less complicated clean up, quicker dry time, less risk for mess with sweet babies crawling around). I find myself wanting to get back into oil these days, particularly solvent free oil painting. Trying to figure out a new technique as well as gaps between paint sessions make it feel as though I have forgotten how to talk to a friend. This would be a great opportunity to reconnect!
Favorite subjects: anything nature related. Happy painting!

Hi there. I love painting portraits mostly with acrylics (they are more forgiving than watercolours) but with mixed media backgrounds and/or fine tuning. I’d love to have an opportunity to join this amazing course.

  10. Judy Melby-Robinson says:

Hello, and thanks for this opportunity! I paint in acrylics and love painting beachy, sunset scenes! Also figurative portraits!

  11. Marina Hombroeckx says:

I can not decide what medium I like best. I thought after a year of 2 online classes with all different media it would be more clear, but I just learned about more media and it got even harder to decide! Maybe another year of classes will help:) Subject is easier, I love portraits. But I also had a lot of fun on the critters. Landscapes not so much.

  12. Lisa says:

I have a room full of a lot of different mediums because I think I am a collector of Art supplies, lol. I do focus on acrylic the most but watercolour, pan pastels, alcohol and acrylic inks are all fun. And I take a lot of photos.

  13. Marianne Wesseling says:

I love working with mixed media and exploring a variety of materials. Portraits are my favorite subject—I’ve started with dogs and am now actively practicing human faces.

  14. Carla Riseman says:

I love to work in mixed media–colored pencil, watercolor and other water-soluble media with acrylic paint and ink. My favorite subjects are portraits, figures, and the natural world.
